MINISTRIES
The organisation runs various ministries and services aimed to benefit members and the outside world. The operations of these ministries have the physical and spiritual wellbeing of individual persons primarily in mind. Accordingly, those who are appointed to coordinate them have been specially trained in biblical principles in human relationships and have been duly commissioned to perform their duties under God. Some of the ministries in the church see to the needs of those outside the church
The various ministry departments include:
This department helps with the smooth running of the administrative matters by liaising the work of the organisation with the outside world. General information regarding the organisation can be obtained by contacting the Headquarters’ office in London.
The organisation has special ministries, on both local and national levels, to men, women, youth, children and the disadvantaged in the society. We also organise sections for single parents, young couples and pregnant women. Apart from the different programmes that are organised for these various groups, there is a drop-in counselling section opened to both members and the public. Our hospitality and welfare department coordinates our mission to the elderly and disabled within and outside the church.
We are extending an open invitation to parents to bring their children to our Children Church on Sundays and after-school play group on weekdays. For further information, please telephone or e-mail us.
We believe in encouraging individuals of the same gender to come together for fellowship, encouragement, edification and evangelism. Many in the work of the Kingdom have used the idea of homogeneity effectively. When individuals of the same gender come together they can feel that they are more in unity, having something in common than when the gathering is of mixed gender.
We have ministries for both men and women in the organisation. These ministries are carried out both in local or national levels. Meetings and conferences are held annually for the purpose of ministering to the specific needs of the individuals in these groups. Should you be interested in knowing more about these ministries or you are thinking of becoming involved in their regular activities, please contact us.

The Bible intimates that the youths and young adults should remember their Creator in the days of their youth. The Bible also teaches that the period of the youth is vanity and very slippery. This makes it imperative that our young people be shown the way of the Lord at this fruitful and yet precarious period of their lives. We believe that the church should do more to encourage young people to be more involved in spiritual things. To achieve this, the church needs to understand the personality of the young people; the physical, mental, social, emotional, and spiritual development. Once this is understood, I believe that the church would be able to minister effectively to those in this age group.
We show this commitment both in the local and national levels by involving the youth and young adults in different areas of the ministry. We hold regular bible study and prayer meetings, outings, picnics, and other Bible based activities that we believe can help their personality development. Physical activities include organising sporting events, concerts, Bible quizzes and drama. We believe that we can always draw spiritual parallel from the physical world so we encourage our young people to draw spiritual realities from all the activities they are involved in. We also encourage our young people to share their faith with others, especially with those of their age. The youth club of the organisation is a vital component of the organisation’s vision for the young people.
If you are interested in being part of this exciting group you can contact us. We invite youth groups of other churches to join forces with our youth group to reach the young people for Christ. For further information, please telephone or e-mail us.
We take the children ministry very seriously. Unlike the disciples of the Lord, we do not drive away mothers with their children. Instead we organise day-care and mother-and-toddler centres. We also hold children church on Sundays where competent and qualified teachers teach the children, utilising children teaching aids. We also host annual children’s day where children are allowed to express their understanding of the Christian faith through Bible recitations, drama, songs etc. This vibrant children ministry is on the go using Christian principles to develop children for future generation.
Organising House Fellowships or Cell groups is one strategy we use in our efforts to spread the message of the Gospel and at the same time to edify the body of Christ. The concept of house group has been used effectively from New Testament times. This method is used usually to attract the non-believer to an environment that is not religiously threatening. It is often assumed that as long as the non-believer does not see the house fellowship as a “church” he or she will be more willing and comfortable to join the Bible study group.
At the moment we operate a heterogeneous house groups where male and female meet together to share the word of God, fellowship and address personal and other concerns. We utilise bible-based material in our house fellowship discussions. Because of our vision to have house groups in as many locations as possible, we are constantly seeking individuals and families who are willing to offer their accommodations; flats or houses, for the purpose of starting house groups.
It is not unusual for local churches to spring from house groups, so we envision seeing house fellowships actually or eventually becoming local assemblies. If you are willing to offer your flat/house for the purpose of starting a house group in your area or if you want to know the house fellowship in your area, do no hesitate to contact us. We will be most willing to hear from you.
Hospitality has been defined as “Friendly and liberal reception of guests or strangers.” This is the hallmark of our worship meetings. Our trained ushers and usherettes show courtesy to visitors and strangers. We treat all of our visitors with love and acceptance. More than this, our hospitality is extended beyond showing courtesy to our visitors. We, as a Christian organisation, are committed to taking care of our registered and committed members through our welfare department. The care we render depends on the needs of individuals. We also engage in what is usually referred to as social action. We do not allow the “four walls” of our organisation to blind us to see the numerous physical and spiritual needs in our society. Our involvement in social action includes rendering spiritual and physical assistance to individuals regardless of age, race, colour, social status, and religious affiliation. We welcome and embrace all alike as our Lord would do if He was still physically on earth. We demonstrate this social action by visiting the elderly and those who are physically disadvantaged, holding counselling sections to address various spiritual and social ills, helping with and sending material assistance to those in need, both at home and abroad, and assisting missionary societies to fulfil their God-given mission.
To know more about all we do in these respects, or to assist us in whatever way possible to assist others, please get in touch with us through telephone or by e-mailing
us.
The organisation organises evangelism and outreaches in local, national and international levels. The evangelism strategies employed can include one-to-one, house visitation, street meetings, tract distributions, media, public places like conducting evangelism in the bus, train etc, and conducting open-air crusades. The evangelism department also take the Good News of Jesus Christ to hospitals, prisons and to people who are socially underprivileged.
We believe in using available and effective means to reach the lost for Jesus Christ. So, we conduct in-door crusades for this purpose. Plans are in place to hold regular out door crusades or Tent meetings for the purpose of preaching the Gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ. We also hold Annual Convention presently on national level as well as host teaching seminars.
If you would want to know more or are thinking of becoming part of what is happening in our organisation in respect of evangelism, you are welcome to contact us through telephone or the e-mail.
We believe that no one should be left out from hearing the Good News of our Lord Jesus Christ. Those who are confined to beds in the hospitals and the prisoners locked in prison up and down in different Countries are those who may be forgotten by society at large and the Christian church in particular. Our prison and hospital ministries are geared to address this concern. We put strategic plans in place to visit and take the love of God to those confined to these institutions. We do not, however, believe that we are the only ones doing this. So, we are looking to join forces with individuals and agents who are particularly called to minister in these areas. Should you be willing to join forces with us, and if it were God’s will for this to happen, please contact us. We are presently operating only in London and Greater London areas.
We believe in the institution of the Church. As local, visible gathering of the people of God, He uses the work of the church to meet the social needs in the particular area where the church is located. So, we believe in planting churches area by area. We do not plant churches just for sake of it, but aim that each local church would carry out the Great Commission in that area and engage in social work as well.
Church planting is usually coordinated by local churches with the consent of the senior minister. Our church planting efforts are carried out presently at national level. We have contacts abroad through which similar efforts are carried out. We also believe and welcome churches who want to affiliate with our organisation. If you are interested in this, please contact us for details.
The purpose of this department is to coordinate the development of young Christians and to see to the welfare of visitors. Accordingly the responsibilities include the coordination of house fellowships, running discipleship classes, and house visitation. It is our aim to see that everyone receives effective and efficient ministration. To know more about this ministry, you can telephone or e-mail us.
Everything and everyone needs prayer. We subscribe to the statement that says “Prayer changes people and changes things.” Revival and other blessings come through prayer; binding and loosing come through prayer; victory and sustenance come through prayer. The organisation strongly believes in fervent and effectual prayer of believers, which can avail much.
We hold different public prayer meetings which include;
- Tuesday Prayer Warriors night
- Friday Power Packed Prayer night
- Once a month group prayer vigil on a Friday
- Group quarterly prayer vigil
- 14 days fasting/prayer meetings in January
- 21 days fasting/prayer meetings in July
- 7 days fasting/prayer meetings in December
You can email your prayer requests to us and we will get the dedicated prayer team to pray on the requests.
Deliverance? Many cling at the mention of this word. They are not comfortable with anything to do with the extraterrestrial or with evil spirits. Either these individuals do not believe in demon spirits or they are just afraid to talk about them. Some argue that believers are supposed to present the Gospel to the unsaved without delving into issues that concern demons and the like. While others maintain that issues of deliverance should be restricted only to the unsaved and those who are demon possessed. Obviously, there is some amount of confusion surrounding the subject of deliverance both within and outside Christendom. Many usually ask, “Should believers talk and practice deliverance?” “Who are those that need deliverance?”
The subject of deliverance is complex and variegated. One would need to write a whole book to answer the various questions that arise from the subject of deliverance. We put it simply by saying that it is biblical to believe and practice deliverance. Accordingly we do practise deliverance prayers for both believers and unbelievers. While the latter can be possessed by demon spirits, we do not believe that the believers can be possessed by demons. We, however, believe that evil spirits can oppress believers, so that they would need to be prayed for to remove this oppression or torment. Anyone, including a born-again believer, can suffer untold consequences because of the actions of his/her ancestors (forefathers, grand-parents etc). So, it is important that these individuals submit themselves for proper deliverance.
We hold deliverance sections for consenting individuals for the purpose of helping them overcome their spiritual demise. It is suggested that those who are willing to go through deliverance should convince themselves of the need for this. They should come believing that, with God, all things are possible. Those who come for deliverance are normally asked to fill-out simple forms to help in a proper diagnosis of the problem as well as to help to keep proper records. In deliverance, we depend on the Holy Spirit, the word of God and the Blood of Jesus as effective spiritual weapons. If you think you might be interested or you require further information, please contact us.
We hold prayer sessions and counselling for individuals who may be spiritually disturbed or whose needs may be in other areas. These individuals can either send in their prayer requests by filling the prayer request form or, if they so wished, they can attend counselling sessions. We welcome all alike to attend these sessions. If you are interested in knowing more about our prayer and counselling ministries, you can contact the church office.
We believe in the statement of the Bible that says, “God inhabits the praises of His people”. Where there is true worship of His glory God comes down to give His approval by blessing His people. We pride ourselves in the Lord to have a very vibrant praise and worship team who often uplift the congregation spiritually with lively praise and worship with good music and contemporary songs. The church usually gets erupted with excitement and joy especially on Sundays during our praise and worship. You cannot come and leave the same as you came without feeling this group’s ministration as they praise God with all their beings.
It is our vision to continue to build a very strong, vibrant and contemporary choir to minister songs to God’s glory. If you think you may be interested in joining and becoming part of this vision, contact the office.
Sunday Bible Class (SBC) is one of our Christian education programmes designed to meet the need of Christian maturation. It is a version of Sunday school and it is run like one. We use the phrase, Sunday Bible Class, instead of Sunday school, because we want it to appeal to all age groups. Whereas some churches and organisations restrict the benefits of Sunday school to children, we believe that the word of God taught in the Sunday school programme should be available for all ages so that the study material contained in each lesson should address issues facing different age groups.
In our SBC programmes, classes are held in the same format as secular schools with teachers, secretaries, and superintendent etc, to teach and administer the work of the programme. But at the moment we hold these studies on Wednesdays. One does not need any requirement or prior qualification to join. All you need is your Bible, the study manual, notebook, writing material and a heart prepared to hear and receive from God. Members are expected to purchase their copies of the lesson manual. Visitors usually receive free copies and the classes are free! Do not wait to be invited. Come and attend on any Wednesday and you will be glad that you did. Contact us if you need further information
Educating the whole person; mind, soul and spirit, is one priority of the organisation. Various plans, programmes and procedures are in place to see to the education of the total person. The organisation, both in the national and local levels, holds various discipleship classes, seminars, conferences and other relevant meetings to achieve this goal. To enhance its educational goals, the organisation publishes its own study manuals, books, CD/DVD and magazine. One major achievement on this pursuit of excellence in Christian education is the organisation’s own Christian College; Emmaus International Christian College currently based in London, England. The Bible College is primarily a denominational Bible College, but its doors are also opened to the wider Christian world.
The organisation also runs classes for school/college level students to assist them in their educational goals. Subjects like Mathematics, English Language, and science, are covered.
Should you require further information in any of the areas mentioned above please feel free to contact us.
The organisation’s programme of evangelisation and Christian education necessitate the utilisation of modern technology. We are committed to spreading the Good News of Jesus Christ through the use of Radio, Television and any other technological device or media presently available. The organisation records its teachings on CD/DVD and in other devices. We make these available to our members and the public for small charge.
The organisation also publishes its own national magazine where information about our work is published. We have an internal production unit run by qualified individuals. For further information please contact the headquarters office.
The organisation believes in the use of the written word for the edification of the total person. To this end, various teaching manuals, pamphlets, books and magazine are published regularly. The organisation runs its own design and publishing unit. The publishing arm of the organisation is called “WordVision Publishers Limited.” A plan is underway to establish a printing press in order to enhance and put some momentum into the organisation’s publication vision.
WordVision Publishers Ltd is a unit in the organisation whose aim is to undertake the publishing of good and publishable materials from various Christian authors. Its main focus is, though not exclusively, to publish books and articles of the New Testament Gospel Church so as to promote the aim of the Christian Education department of the organisation. However, other writers and authors are invited to send in their material for consideration and possible onward publication. The publishing company is registered with the appropriate body in England and Wales. It has in-house team of editors, proofreaders, design and typesetting experts. Authors and writers are invited to send in materials within the Christian context, including theological work, devotional materials, commentary on various biblical books, short Christian poems, doctrinal material etc.
The publishing company aims to extend the Christian knowledge through the distribution of Christian materials to the under-developed or the developing countries where these are lacking. To require further information, please write or e-mail us.
The Bible declares that the firmament declares the glory of the Lord and all the elements speaks of His greatness (Psalm 19:1-3). We believe that God has given the airwaves for declaring His greatness and goodness. Unfortunately, these have been taken over by secular, non-Christian individuals and organisations. The consequence of this is seen in the kind of stuff or information the society is being fed with. Adults, young people, and children are alike constantly being fed with ungodly material thereby creating more ungodliness in the society. We believe that the Church need to and should reclaim the airwaves for the glory of God so that the Christian message can reach all alike.
Our organisation is in the process of starting its media ministry to propagate the riches of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. We invite individuals, bodies, trusts and organisations to assist us in achieving this vision. Interested parties should please contact us.
The establishment of a Christian Bible College is one of the efforts the organisation is making to educate and train its ministers to be effective in their various callings. The individuals who go through our Bible College are usually those who have given a prior indication to work for the organisation as pastors, evangelists, church elders, missionaries, etc. The individuals who are consequently accepted to enrol for the courses are charged reduced College fees for the duration of their studies. At the completion of the training, the successful persons are normally required to go through an interview before a panel of ordained ministers of the organisation after which they will serve internship for a specified period of time.
The opportunities and privileges of the Bible College are also made available for individuals from other churches or denominations as full College fees paying students. The College offers bible-based courses on certificate, diploma, and higher diploma levels and these courses are taken between one to three years on part-time basis. For further details, please contact the administrator by telephone or e-mail.
